Owner and colorist; Born and raised in San Francisco's Mission district, Marie was always the one who family and friend came to for color. Encouraged by her grandmother to pursue a career in hair, Marie soon found her true calling. After a brief stint in a smaller salon, she found her way to Cowboys and Angels Salon. Studying under the talented Atis Zulgis, Marie was able to perfect her talent for buttery blondes and rich brunettes. Working in Union Square since 1993, she has continued to take advanced training classes at the Bumble and Bumble Academy in New York and the Vidal Sassoon school in Santa Monica. Marie is a mentor to many young colorists and is looking forward to creating a community of talented stylists with Katie Casey at Harper Paige.
Owner and colorist; Katie's fifteen year career started right after high school when she moved to Santa Monica to attend the prestigious Vidal Sassoon Academy. After graduating from the program, she moved to San Francisco where she began her internship at the well known Cowboys and Angels Salon in Union Square. Katie has been voted best colorist in San Francisco by Allure magazine two years in a row. Ask anyone who sees her for color and they will tell you Katie has a talent for knowing what color best suits you. Having followed her dream of owning her own salon, she hopes to continue to grow and be inspired by the world and the people around her.
As a Bay Area native, Dakota has a wealth of inspiration that exudes the effortlessness of Northern California. Dakota apprenticed at Harper Paige Salon under owners Katie Casey and Marie Warden and their team of talented colorists. Her style ranges from sun-kissed balayage to rich chocolate browns and everything in between. In her free time, Dakota loves to cook and hang out with her family. Dakota is a proud Slytherin.
As a young girl in Palm Springs, it was obvious that Brandie was destined to do hair. Brandie was never shy about cutting her own hair if it wasn't right and she frequently practicing on her cousins. At 12 she discovered Vogue and fell in love with the hair and costumes used to create the stories. Brandie moved to San Francisco to be near her favorite aunt, a well known local business owner. Shortly after arriving in the city she got a job at the S.F. Opera in the costume department. During her time at the opera she found herself gravitating toward the hair more then the costumes, and decided to go to beauty school. She began her training at the prestiges Cowboys and Angels salon under Michelle Snyder and Marcy Harmon. Since beginning her journey more than a decade ago Brandie has always been a dedicated teacher and now is the head of education at Harper Paige salon. Brandie's style is a mix of gypsy Stevie Knicks meets California casual. She has a cult following of people ranging from hipsters to housewives, CEO'S to college students. She draws her inspiration from Pattie Smith, Anita Pallenberg, and Diane Keaton (circa 1970). When Brandie is not doing hair, she enjoys making custom natural perfumes and exploring the natural beauty the bay area has to offer.
Misty's free spirit and passion to learn has resulted in her modern and creative approach to hair. Her love for all things hair, especially working with natural texture and curls, set her out on a journey to work with her hair heroes. Starting her education as a precision based stylist in SF, she followed her dreams to assist her mentors in NYC. There she spent three transformational years training with some of New York's hair masters. Having the opportunity to go to fashion week, work on numerous editorial fashion and creative shoots, and styling the main wig for a broadway play were highlights of her time spent there. Excited to return to SF, bringing back some east coast love, Misty joined Harper Paige in 2015. Being part of a team is what inspires her to keep learning everyday. She enjoys teaching her clients how to make their natural texture work best for them while keeping true to their own sense of style. Something she thinks everyoneshould embrace.
Lucky’s attraction to the hair industry began in the early 80’s. Gathering huge inspiration from the art, music and fashion scene of the time; she embarked on the journey to become the hair color specialist she is today. She began with a Vidal Sassoon based cutting program in Scottsdale, realizing she yearned for a more creative path decided on a career as a colorist at Architects & Heroes in San Francisco. In 2002, Luck followed former Architects & Heroes peers to Dekko Salon where she has continued her education and interest in current hair trends. After 13 years, Lucky chose to bring her talents and expertise to Harper Paige East in Oakland, where she resides with her family and dog, Mugsy. Creating subtle to striking highlights, balayage, creative color, or masking grey she takes pride in creating beautiful color for her clients. Lucky was featured in Allure Magazine October 2012 in the Best of Beauty Directory as the best colorist to see in San Francisco and recognized as one of the top 10 colorist in San Francisco by SF.Racked.com
With over 10 years of experience behind the chair, Color and styling are still as exciting today as they were when Daniela first started as an eager teenager. Upon graduating from beauty school Daniela was selected to travel to London to attend Toni & Guy and the legendary Vidal Sassoon Academy. Her extensive training includes studying visual communication at the Fashion institute of design and merchandising in San Francisco and she is currently the Network Educator for Bumble and Bumble; giving her the ability to grow as a stylist and educator within the industry. Aside from working at Harper Paige, Daniela works side by side as the personal hair styling/color assistant for her long time mentors and friends creative director of Frederic Fekkai, the renowned Maurice Dadoun and creator of Goomee hair loops Shlomi Azoulay. All this hair talk aside, some of Daniela's favorite things to do on her off time are hanging out with her pup Booger, extreme thrifting, and helping others.
Is a hairstylist and educator. She began her career in hair in the year 2000. She apprenticed at Cowboys and Angels salon in San Francisco , and Festoon salon in Berkeley & San Francisco, Ca. Gail was a stylist for 5 years when she was promoted to education director at Festoon salon. She co-created the successful training program at Festoon salon. Gail has pursued advanced training intensively with successful companies like ; Sassoon academy, bumble and bumble , Deva curl and Davines. Other training includes; Nick Arrojo , Tim Hartley, Oribe, Global Karatin, and the Yuko Japanese smoothing systems. Davines, L'oreal, Goldwell and Wella color lines. Gail is currently training to be a Davines platform artist. Gail Began working behind the chair at Harper Paige East in June of 2016. She currently lives in Oakland California with her family.
Sarah found her passion as a stylist at the Gene Juarez Salon in Seattle Washington. As she studied under longtime mentor Christophe Soltane, she became inspired by his professionalism, his passion, and his vision for the craft. After spending four years building a strong career and finding herself as a stylist, it was time for a new challenge. Abandoning the comforts of home and moving to San Francisco was the next step. She drew inspiration from the many artistic minds and beauty this city has to offer. Finding a home at Harper Paige, Sarah is excited to bring her passion for the industry and to grow as an artist.
Lizabeth Jones is a color specialist with a special love for both creative and natural color. She started her career at San Francisco’s Architect and Heroes Salon in 1999 and has devoted 17 years to her craft with continued education in creative color, color correction and bayalage techniques.
Jodi began her career as a Color Specialist in 1993 while training with Vidal Sassoon in both San Francisco and London. In 1997, Jodi served as the Director of Color Services for Architects & Heroes Salon in San Francisco. During her tenure at Architects & Heroes, she oversaw the redevelopment of the Advanced Education Training Program, as well as, the color departments for their two salons.
After taking her leave from Architects & Heroes in 2000, Jodi became and Independent Contractor. In addition to working behind the chair at Posh Salon, she worked freelance on projects such as leading color seminars in Singapore for the Nexxus Color Line. Jodi has also been featured in Bazaar magazine as San Francisco’s Top Colorist.
In 2002, Jodi became a partner in ownership of Dekko Salon in San Francisco. After 14 years of providing her clients with innovative techniques, creative colors and keratin treatments at Dekko Salon, she has decided to return to her roots as an Independent Contractor working as a Color Specialist at both Harper Paige Salon and Harper Paige East.
